Beth Looney

Prior to her recent transition into True Pump ownership, Beth dedicated several years of ambitious work into the electric utility industry, earned her Bachelor’s in Finance, and accomplished her Master’s in Business Administration. She is extremely eager to take this company and add her own touch to it and in doing so, truly making this family business one that the community will never forget. Outside of her dedication to her career, she is an avid fitness enthusiast, enjoys creating home cooked meals, can be found exploring the great outdoors by hiking through any one of our great Rocky Mountain National Parks, and gardening joyfully in her free time, or even at the pond shop! Following closely behind her at any given time of the day is her gallant steed, Buddy! These two have innovative and progressive plans for the future of True Pump, the staff, their customers, and their contractors as well. They cannot wait to bring this already thriving business into new realms of creativity!

Reed Goede

As our Director of Operations, Reed has been faithfully and earnestly serving True Pump for the last 5 years, starting his Aquascape journey back in 2021. Before his dedication to our team, he spent several years exploring an aquarium hobby that eventually led him to construct his very own DIY Pond! He also owned and operated a landscape/lawn care company during his high school years, coming to a driven and industrious mindset at an early age. Through one of our shop’s newsletters, he read about an opening position at True Pump, applied, and the rest was history. Reed has not only fallen in love with the industry that he now gets to serve in daily, but also the people he has made long lasting relationships with. Apart from his love and passion for his job, Reed also loves to spend quality time with his friends and family, tweaking his very own features at home, and donating his time, resources, and care unto others in need!

Cole Carey

With a unique and rather pre-destined introduction to the water feature industry, Cole stumbled across a pond sitting dormant and moldering just outside of the apartment complex during his stay in Arizona while he was attending Phoenix College for his Associates degree in Business. With some extensive research, he found himself browsing through the Aquascape YouTube channel for direction and wisdom on how to revive the pond back to life, and with the help of their videos he was able to restore the feature to its serene condition. In March of 2022, He was coincidentally offered a sales position at True Pump by his previous neighbor, aka the previous co-owner of True Pump Tim, and has been growing immensely with us ever since. When he is not resurrecting ponds back to life, he can be found somewhere deep in a forest fly fishing, hiking for hours at a time, camping next to a river bed, and snowboarding if the weather permits, that is!

Mariah Ranney

Unlike her colleagues, Mariah was stepping into unexplored territory when she began her True Pump journey back in February of 2025. She had previously endured 5 consecutive years as a FedEx employee working a variety of different positions within the company such as package handler trainer, dispatch administration, and even dabbled in operations of warehouse vehicles and machinery. On an evening out with some church friends, her and her husband found themselves opening up to their friend Reed about wanting a fresh start in their career. Wanting to help his friends out, Reed pulled the previous owners of True Pump aside (Jo and Tim), and was able to get them both interviewed and hired within the next couple of months. Since the start of her new career path, Mariah has been advancing in her knowledge in the pond world, and is rather eager to see what kind of doors it can open for her in the future. When she is not building new friendships at the pond shop, she can be found journaling, making homemade matcha lattes, and spending time with her two adorable pits!

Jordan Ranney

Before Jordan began his True Pump journey back in February of 2025, he was working diligently alongside his wife at FedEx Ground as a package handler trainer, right out of high school. He not only spent his 4 years working there ensuring that people’s packages would arrive safely and in a timely manner, but that his trainees being mentored by him were being safe, working properly, maintaining an efficient pace, and having fun while doing so. As he transitioned from guiding trainees towards building great walls to guiding customers towards maintaining beautiful water features, he maintained his desire to lead others with a dependable and servant heart, ensuring that his customers left the store feeling confident and satisfied. When he is not mentoring customers at the shop, he can be found at any local coffee shop exploring different notes of coffee beans, diving his nose into a great read, or playing pickleball with his friends!

Seth Cunningham

As the new True Pump ownership began, so did the journey into water feature territory for Seth in July of 2026. Before he embarked into this never ending adventure with True Pump, he acquired a valuable set of skills and techniques at a trade school in Arizona, and spent 8 consecutive years building up his customer service abilities through various different positions nationwide. His ability to easily adapt to any environment, any given set of circumstances, and obtaining agile learning skills makes him one of the most exciting assets to our team. He is extremely excited to learn more about the ins and outs of the water feature industry, and has already begun to create some of his very own features at home! When he is not soaking in pond information for endless hours of the day, he can be found in any nearby body of water, trying out the latest and greatest video game on the market, reading up on a paleontology article online, or spoiling his beloved cat Pinto Bean!

Buddy

Taking the title for our brightest, boldest, most charming, and excellent customer service representative is no other than our beloved Buddy! During his shifts in the shop, Buddy problem solves efficiently by rolling onto his back for belly rubs, takes well needed breaks on the secure and comforting lap of his mom, stares unblinkingly at your sandwich until 10% of the contents are successfully reallocated to the floor, and greets the customers of his choosing with a welcoming sniff and wagging of his tail. He enjoys strolling through the park, car rides with his mom, and doggy treats on a daily basis!
